The interior had also been modified with half cloth-half alcantara sports seats (optional upgrade to leather), an alcantara-wrapped sports steering wheel, anthracite colored cloth headliner, and aluminum ´cubed´ faux-carbon fiber interior trim (available in silver or black). The instrument gauge cluster was also modified with red needles and polished metal trim rings. In the performance department, the ZHP was equipped with the more aggressive DME tune to increase power from 225 hp (168 kW) to 235 hp (175 kW).[18] The engine redline raised from 6,500 rpm to 6,800 rpm to take advantage of the new power band and higher power output at higher RPMs.[19] As a result of the higher redline, the nut that fastens the oil pump´s sprocket came with threadlocker pre-applied from the factory to keep the nut from falling off. The car also received a shorter final drive ratio which allows for faster acceleration; 3.64 vs. 3.38 for the automatic. Car and Driver magazine track-tested the car, which returned a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds and passed through the 1/4 mile in 14.3 seconds. Suspension was modified over the standard suspension with firmer springs and dampers, larger anti-roll bars, stronger front control arm ball joints, a lower ride height, and slightly more negative camber.[19] The Style 135M wheels also came equipped with the much stickier compound, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, in a staggered configuration with 225/40-18 tires in the front and 255/35-18 tires in the back.The sport package was available on all E46´s, excluding cars with the Performance package and the M3. It consisted of a three spoke sports leather steering wheel and had improved grip over the standard ´square´ steering wheel. The car was also given sport seats which provided better bolstering and support than the stock seats. They also had adjustable thigh supports and were available in manual or power. The sports package also offered 17-inch wheels standard, which came with staggered lower profile tires. Rear-wheel-drive models ordered with the Sport package also received sport suspension, which offered improved handling by way of firmer springs, a lower ride height, and tighter dampers. Almost everything is either original or an oem Nissan replacement part. It is a fun, reliable daily driver. The only mechanical alteration is the addition of camber adjusting tension rods in the front suspension. The cars didn´t come from the factory with any adjustment for camber. The bars fix that. I just top it off at oil changes.- Crank angle sensor and mass airflow sensor have both been replaced in the last 7000 miles. - Diehl Nissan recently did a full inspection. The paperwork shows that everything checked out, but they recommended changing shifter bearings. They´re a little loose, but it doesn´t both me. - Clutch pedal squeaks from wear on a connecting pin. Its perfectly safe, but when it squeaks when its humid outside.- On cold winter mornings a bearing somewhere gets too tight and whines until warm. I had it checked a few years ago and they said not to worry about. It will surprise you though if you´re not ready for it.- Front bumper was broken by the state emissions inspectors in Texas. Bumper looks pretty bad. A replacement from Nissan is about $500. Non-Nissan bumpers are less. - Paint shows its age. Normal chips and wear. It´s never been wrecked since I´ve had it, but I don´t have a full history prior to 78,000 miles when I bought it. Email me to request more pictures. Craigslist only allows the 4 small ones. Motor needs some work and interior needs a little work itself. The car does start up and run but i would not recommend driving it. I parked it when i heard the timing chain making a little noise. We replaced the tentioner but that didnt fix it. BMW mechanic told me it may be the guides have gone bad. New front hubs. 4x4works great. 31/10/50 mud tires all the way around it. Interior is in pretty good shape, body has some dings. Truck runs and drives good. Details: Asking $1,000 or best offer. The truck runs well, the body is in good condition and the 4x4 works. There are a couple hitches. It is an automatic, but it´s not shifting into 3rd gear, which means driving around in second gear. Also the passenger window was blown out by a stray rock over the winter so it has been replaced with a plexiglass window. The truck has 173,850 miles on it.
